Sherwi Yondhen Tshokpa

Sherwi Yondhen Tshokpa is a student led group designed to create a network between all the Sherpa students, which is non-profit and non-political organization, established in 2007 in Kathmandu District Office and is also affiliated to the Social Welfare Council (SWC). It aims to facilitate networking between all the Sherpa students to aid in their intellectual and professional growth. It also aims to encourage the youth’s participation in promotion and preservation of Sherpa Culture, language, Environment issues, tourism and sports.


  • To preserve and promote Sherpa language and culture by organizing various cultural events
  • To share information and experiences between the members and raise awareness on educational and cultural issues.
  • To encourage graduates and professionals to mentor the high school and prospective college students.
  • To support the academic career of new comer students through counseling, library, scholarship assistantship and necessary guidance.
  • To introduce and promote internal tourism in Khumbu(Everest Region).
  • To work in co-ordination with other social organizations having similar objectives.

Pangboche Youth Club Defends 1st Fang-Ng..

Pangboche Youth Club lifted the title of the 1st Fang-Ngi 7 ‘A’ side Futasl 2016 Championship organized by Mahendra Ex-Student Forum, Kapan on the auspicious occasion of Sherpa’s biggest festival Fang-Ngi.In total, 8 teams from khumbu region participated in the one day futsal championship held on 20th August 2016 at Sky Futsal, Bhatbhateni – Chuchepati.    P
